「Anuthatantrum」に収録されています。
デビューアルバムの 「Funkdafied」 が大ヒットし
女性ソロ・ラッパーとして初めてプラチナ認定を受けた後に出た
「一発屋ではない」事を証明する役割を持った重要な作品で
プロデュースの中心は Jermaine Dupri です。
アルバム名の「Anuthatantrum」は
「Another tantrum（また癇癪を起こす）」を崩した
スラング的表現。

強気で荒々しいアティチュードをそのままタイトルにした感じになっています。

Da Bratのラップは実はかなり攻撃的で

This time we’re taking a look at a track by Da Brat, one of the most important figures in 1990s hip-hop history.
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Da Brat was a pioneering female rapper who helped open the door for women in hip-hop to achieve major mainstream success.
The song is “Let’s All Get High.”
It appears on her second studio album, “Anuthatantrum,” released in 1996 through So So Def.
Following the huge success of her debut album “Funkdafied,” which made her the first solo female rapper to achieve platinum certification, Anuthatantrum carried an important role: proving that she was far more than a one-hit wonder.
The album was primarily produced by Jermaine Dupri.
The title Anuthatantrum is a slang-styled twist on “Another tantrum,” reflecting Da Brat’s strong, aggressive personality and attitude almost perfectly.
Among the songs on the album, “Let’s All Get High” stands out with a guest appearance from Krayzie Bone.
At first glance, the title may give the impression that this is simply a marijuana-themed song or a laid-back, chill hip-hop track.
But once you actually listen to it, the song reveals a much more layered structure.
Elements of street-level bravado, the atmosphere of 1990s G-Funk, Bone Thugs-style melodic flows, and even a feeling of briefly escaping reality all exist simultaneously.
In many ways, it feels like a snapshot of 1990s hip-hop culture itself.
The track also incorporates elements from Zapp’s “Be Alright.”
Zapp was one of the defining funk acts of the 1980s and became heavily sampled throughout the G-Funk era of the 1990s.
Because of that influence, even though this is technically a Southern hip-hop track, it ends up carrying a strong West Coast feel.
The title may suggest slow, relaxed rapping, but Da Brat’s performance is actually highly aggressive.
Her verses are filled with confidence and dominance:
“I’m on top.”
“My rivals can’t catch me.”
“I’m in control.”
That sense of self-assertion runs throughout the entire song.
Perhaps the biggest factor that makes this track work is Krayzie Bone’s presence.
While Da Brat attacks the beat with force, Krayzie Bone lets his words flow.
That contrast holds the song together, and when their styles merge, they create a balance between tension and weightlessness.
Although the song uses marijuana as a theme, that isn’t really its core.
At the heart of the track is something else:
